What are your candles made of?
A 100% natural blend of coconut wax and beeswax.
No paraffin. No fillers. No shortcuts.

Are your candles handmade?
Yes. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches.

Why coconut wax and beeswax?
Coconut wax offers a smooth, clean burn.
Beeswax adds structure, depth, and warmth.

Together, they create a candle that feels both refined and grounded.

Why not soy wax?
Soy wax is widely used and accessible, but it can have an inconsistent burn and a heavier, less refined scent throw.

We chose a blend of coconut wax and beeswax for a more elevated experience. Coconut wax burns slowly and evenly, while beeswax adds structure and warmth.

Together, they create a candle that feels smoother, burns longer, and carries fragrance in a softer, more balanced way.

Are your candles clean?
Yes. We use CleanScents fragrance oils from CandleScience, formulated without phthalates, carcinogens, mutagens, or reproductive toxins.

Each material is chosen with intention for a clean, elevated burn.

How is this different from typical store-bought candles?
Many mass-produced candles prioritize cost efficiency and strong initial scent.

Incensum candles are made with a coconut and beeswax blend and carefully selected fragrance oils from CandleScience, formulated without phthalates and other commonly avoided ingredients.

The result is a slower, cleaner burn with a more balanced scent that remains present throughout the life of the candle, rather than fading after the first few burns.

♱ Fragrance

Do you use essential oils?
No. We use high-quality fragrance oils designed specifically for candle use.

Essential oils, while natural, do not always perform well or safely when burned at the levels required for proper scent throw. Our approach ensures a consistent, refined fragrance experience.

I have sensitivities. Can I use your candles?
If you are sensitive to fragrance, we recommend caution.

Our candles are phthalate-free, but they are still scented. Sensitivities vary, and your comfort matters most.

This candle captures the sacred atmosphere of the Catholic Mass, where frankincense and myrrh drift from a thurible in slow, fragrant clouds and rest within ancient stone and timeworn wood.
